On Friday, April 25, 2008, Mary Ann Laun and Jeff Rudisill met to begin work on the tasks delegated to the Writing Group by the Campus Technology Committee.

The first of those tasks is to draft a restructuring of the membership of the Campus Technology Committee so as to address the inability to gain a quorum due to lack of attendance. Currently, membership is comprised of the Chair, 5 managers, 5 faculty, 2 classified and 1 AS rep, unfilled.

Proposed Membership of Campus Technology Committee
In addition to the Standing Chair, VP of Administrative Services, we recommend 2 members each representing faculty, classified, students and management. Each member, including Chair, will have one vote for a total of nine voting members *(16, if it is decided to include Resource Representatives as voting members): quorum to be 5 *(or 9) members. Alternates will have voting rights in the absence of a regularly appointed member.

Members to be determined as follows:
    Faculty
    Two appointments by Academic Senate
[one alternate appointed by Academic Senate]

    Classified
    Chair of Classfied Technology Committee
    Two appointmentsby Classified Senate

     One member from Student Services
     One member from Instruction
