Proposed Membership of Campus Technology Committee
Referral to Executive Committee, July 2008
In addition to the Standing Chair, VP of Administrative Services, two members shall be appointed from the following groups: faculty, classified, students, management. Each member, including Chair, will have one vote for a total of nine voting members. Alternates will have voting rights in the absence of a regularly appointed member.
Members to be determined as follows:
Faculty
Two appointments by Academic Senate, one of which is the
Chair of Faculty Technology Committee (recommended)
[one alternate appointed by Academic Senate]
Classified
Two appointments by Classified Senate, one of which is the
Chair of Classified Technology Committee (recommended)
[one alternate appointed by Classified Senate]
Students
Two members appointed by Association of Students
[one alternate appointed by Association of Students]
Management - appointed by Management Association
One member from Student Services
One member from Instruction
[one alternate appointed by Management Association] Note: since resource reps are heavily
represented by the Administrative areas, these appointments assure representative from Student
Services and Instruction managers.
Resource Representatives - each area to provide representation as a non-voting member, and, as
such, attendance is not required to have a quorum.

In addition to these, aren't the VPs for Instruction and Student and Learning Services also members? Making the proposed committee voting members 11 and quorum at 6. Or are you suggesting that the VPs for Instruction and Student and Learning Services would no longer be voting members?

Yes, we had discussed having them as nonvoting members and they would not be obligated to attend.
